Hi, I’m Sara, a Speech Pathologist originally from the UK, but I’ve been living and working in Australia since 2013. I have been employed by both the NHS and Queensland Health, since I qualified in 1997.
I’m passionate about working with children and their families, supporting them to feel confident and informed when it comes to communication and feeding. I aim to make sessions practical, supportive, and tailored to your child’s everyday life.
I have experience across a wide range of areas, including speech sound disorders, language development, feeding, and working with neurodivergent children. Over the years, I’ve worked in schools, daycares, community clinics, and hospital settings.
I’m also a former Clinical Director of a hospital-based Speech Pathology service, where I led teams and supported the delivery of high-quality care. This experience shapes the way I work—combining strong clinical knowledge with a practical, family-centred approach.
I have extensive experience of working closely with daycares and schools to support communication skills in both individual and group settings. With 1 in 4 children in Australia starting school developmentally behind in communication skills, early and practical support can make a meaningful difference.
Areas of Interest
I have a particular interest in:
- Speech sound disorders
- Infant feeding
- Preschool children who are late to talk
- Working with schools and daycares to support development of communication skills across whole group settings
I’m a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia.
